- Passport Validity
- Using a Service Legal Company
Getting stay permit for your family members depends on the type of stay permit you want to apply. Whether it is visit stay permit, limited stay permit or permanent stay permit, select the type of stay permit that fits to your family needs. You can just hire an agent to help you prepare paper works and handle the administration process for you, but you may need to get the official information regarding the process too so you can make sure your stay permit is valid.
Note that for every family unification purpose, you will need to present a guarantor who may be an Indonesian national or foreigner holding limited or permanent stay permit to sponsor your entry to Indonesia. Being the one who guarantees your family members during their stay in Indonesia, being a sponsor means that you will be responsible for their conducts in Indonesia, including if there is any legal responsibility that may arise.
Obtaining stay permit whether limited stay permit or permanent stay permit will require you to submit domicile letter. This is to evidence your stay and contact address during your stay in Indonesia. Make sure to follow the steps as you will need to knock doors to doors from local neighborhood chief to district administration office to issue the letter.
Make sure that your family members’ passports still meet the validity requirement as required by the type of stay permit. This is necessary because your stay permit application for your family members may be rejected if the passport exceeds validity period. All of the stay permit may be extendable therefore in case you want to prolong their stay in Indonesia, you can just do so without having to process passport renewal.
Immigration paper works may take some time while you need to attend your other businesses. You may use the service of a Service Legal Company to handle all administration process to get permit for your family members by paying extra service fee. Just make sure that you have agreed the cost for the processing and the time schedule so that you know when to get your permit. Although using a Service Legal Company may save your time and the hassle of paper works, you still need to be present when you are required to take picture and finger print record.
