“Visa on Arrival is valid for 30 days calculated from the first day arrive in Indonesia and could be extended (one time) for a maximum 30 (thirty) days.”
One of Indonesian Visa which is granted foreigner to enter Indonesian Territory with the simple regulation is Visa on Arrival (VoA). It called has simple regulation because this Visa can be obtained directly when the foreigner arrives at the designated port by the Immigration Office and pay the official visa retribution, regardless of the purpose of visit (Business, Tourist, and Social-Cultural).
In accordance with the Regulation of Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia No. M. HH-01.GR-01.06 dated 12 January 2010, citizen from 62 countries and 1 region are eligible for applying a VoA.
These 62 countries and 1 region are Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Timor Leste, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America.
Visa on Arrival is valid for 30 (thirty) days calculated from the first day arrive in Indonesia and could be extended (one time) for a maximum 30 (thirty) days. If you need to extend the visa on arrival, here is the procedure and required documents.
First, prepare the required documents covering application form, original passport, VoA stamped, Identity Card of guarantor, receipt of VoA payment and departure ticket from Indonesia.
Second, submit the application and all the required document to the Immigration Office. The officer will provide you with the receipt that you shall bring on the second arrival to Immigration Office.
Third, It takes around 3-5 working days to the second arrival in order to made a payment, process photo and biometric, and take the finished extended visa. In some cases, you need to go back in another day to take the finished passport and extended visa.
